The journey began in 2022, when Steve Patterson first formulated the idea of SJP Entertainments. With a vision to create high-energy, engaging, and professional entertainment experiences, he teamed up with Amber Boyden in 2023 to bring this vision to life. Together, they built a company committed to providing top-tier entertainment for events, celebrations, and special occasions.
As the company grew, so did the ambition to offer something even more tailored to partygoers of all kinds. In 2024, the concept of Party Pals was born—a brand devoted exclusively to fun-filled, interactive, and thrilling party packages designed for children and families.

Steve Patterson
Co-Creator/Director/Performer/Entertainer
I’m Steve Patterson and I’m the founder and co-creator of SJP Entertainments. I have been involved in entertainment for the majority of my life. I started acting on the stage at the age of 8. From here, my passion for the stage grew and grew and I continued to act in different productions, winning different awards. My acting spanned from amateur pantomime productions to semi-professional Shakespeare. I continued my theatre journey at university where I got a BA Hons in theatre.
After graduating, I took a brief 10 year hiatus from the entertainment industry working for Mecca Bingo as both a show host, and then a General Manager. Throughout the time I spent with Mecca Bingo, I was heavily involved in the corporate entertainment side of the business. Upon leaving Mecca Bingo I decided to go back into my love – entertaining! And the rest is history!!
Amber Boyden
Co-Creator/Creative Director/Technician
I’m Amber Boyden and I’m the co-creator and creative director for SJP Entertainments. Having spent a number of years living in Spain, I am now enjoying being back in the UK and working to bring our wide range of entertainment to as many people as we can.
My background lies in creative design for a number of companies. Alongside this I am also a property manager by day, however by night, I am SJP Entertainments technician and sound engineer. It’s been a fun journey so far and I can’t wait to broaden my horizons into children's entertainment and to see what is next!
